About us

Salt was established in 1999. For a decade, Salt has been scouting and facilitating locations for feature films, TV commercials, music videos, events and producing photographic shoots. Salt offers research, experience and advice providing clients with a unique and unrivalled range of expertise, knowledge and talent.

Location Managers

We pride ourselves on having the best location managers in the business, with experience in organising large shoots in the UK and all over the world. In addition we have location scouts and assistants trained by us, who are available for smaller and lower budget projects.

Library

Our on-line library has locations sourced by us over the years, as well as those whose owners have approached us for representation. We specialise in the UK market for the properties often referred to as "real" or "normal” that are sometimes not well represented by other Location Libraries. We also have an extensive library of exterior locations in the UK ranging from London landmarks to Scottish Lochs, Welsh Roads and Cornish Beaches.

Production

Salt provide first-rate production services to overseas companies shooting in the UK. We also provide location support exclusively for all of Ridley Scott Associates service work. We have accounts with all the major equipment suppliers, employ the best crews available and have unrivaled experience shooting on location in the UK - for more information go to the Production page.

Research

We are often approached by production companies, producers and photographers to help pitch on potential projects. We are more than happy to provide photographic reference, budgetary advice and offer alternative ideas or options as well as advising on the feasibility of the project.
